This morning I was delighted to attend the launch of the The Seabin Project 12 month City Pilot at Jones Bay Wharf.
During the trial period it’s estimated that the 20 units strategically located around the greater Sydney Harbour area will collect 28 tonnes of marine litter, equivalent to about 700 wheelie bins! Furthermore, 4.3 billion litres of water will be filtered capturing oil, fuel, microplastics and plastic fibres.
