The report by the Joint Select Committee on Sydney’s Night Time Economy was released in September. It contains 40 recommendations including a recommendation to remove the 1:30am lockout and the 3:00am cessation of service in the Sydney CBD precinct including Oxford Street.

I have been campaigning for the removal of the lockouts for a number of years now. Let’s hope the Premier is on board with these recommendations. It’s time for a fresh start. It’s time we opened up our wonderful city again and rebuilt our nightlife.
